Conditions Applicable
These conditions shall apply to the contract between 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services and the owner to exclusion of all other terms and conditions.
Charges and payments
The boarding charge shall be the amount set by 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services and agreed (Either verbally or in writing) by the owner. The charges are made per day whether this is all day or part day.
In addition 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services shall be entitled to charge the owner any special charges authorized in advance. Any veterinary charges incurred by 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services for the benefit of the owner’s pet will be chargeable on the owners return.
The full replacement value of any property (whether belonging 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services, a carer or a third party) damaged by the owners pet including (but not limited to) damage by attacking another dog, defecation, urination, vomit or chewing to any carpets or furnishings.
Any charges relating to the above shall be payable by the owner on collection of their pet, unless otherwise agreed by 4 Paws Pet Sitting Services.
Deposit
Most of the time (during the low season) 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service .will ask for a deposit of 50% of the total cost and payment this must be made at the time of booking to reserve the place for your pet.
During our peak periods, like Xmas, New Year, Easter and August 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service.will require 100% of the total, and payment must be made at time of booking to reserve a place for your pet.
Cancellation Fees
We don’t want to seem unreasonable, but when do we most of our business at peak time and with limited availability; late changes of plan can be financially devastating for us.
To encourage stability we have a policy of charging if we encounter these problems.
During the low season, if you were to cancel 14 days or less, 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service would charge you 50% of the total booking, which would be the whole of the deposit.
Similarly, During our peak periods ( our high season) if the booking is cancelled between 30 to 15 days before the start date 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service charge 50%, but if the cancellation is 14 days ( or less) beforehand we would charge 100%.
In the event of failure to pay 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service promptly or at all 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service shall have the right to terminate this agreement without notice and to charge interest at the rate of 4% per annum above the base lending rate and to take action through the courts or otherwise for recovery.
Owners Undertaking
The owner hereby agrees and undertakes with 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service and warrants to that he or she has full power to enter into this agreement without the consent of any third party.
That his pet has not been exposed to rabies, distemper, rhino-rachitic, tracheo-bronchitis and parvo-virus and such inoculation remain effective at the date of this agreement, that the pet has not at any time attacked any human being or animal.
That there are no material fact that have not been disclosed to 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service and which if disclosed, might reasonably be expected to affect the decision of 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service to enter into this agreement That the information on the booking form is complete and correct in every respect.
That 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service may engage the services of a veterinary surgeon of its choice and authorize such veterinary surgeon to undertake such treatment as may in the joint opinion of 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service and the veterinary surgeon be required to treat the owners pet.
That he or she will indemnify 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service and its servants and agents against all costs claims and damages arising (directly or indirectly) from any act of the owners pet whilst in the care of 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service care.
That he or she will collect their pet promptly at the end of the agreed boarding period and at that time pay any outstanding charges.
Any breach by the owner of the undertakings/warranties contained in this agreement shall entitle 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service to place the pets in boarding accommodation at the owner expense, and if necessary without giving the owner notice.
4 Paws Pet Sitting Service Undertaking
4 Paws Pet Sitting Service herby undertakes to take reasonable care of the owners pet during the period of its boarding. 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service carers are insured in accordance with the terms of their insurance policy. 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service will not accept any liability for loss, injury or death to the owners pet (and only to the extent that) such loss injury or death is recoverable under the terms of the insurance policy
Owners failure to collect
In the event of the failure by owner to collect his or hers pet from 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service on the due date, 4 Paws Pet Sitting Service reserve the right to terminate this agreement without notice and re home the pet by any reasonable means. This agreement contains a whole agreement between the parties. It is subject to English law and any dispute arising out of it shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the court of England and Wales.
NB: Payment for boarding is acceptance of these terms and conditions.
